Anne Anderson was an author and teacher who was instrumental in preserving the Cree language and promoting Métis heritage in Alberta and Canada.
As staff and students at Dr. Anne Anderson School, we are inspired by Dr. Anne's legacy as we further the work of reconciliation in our school community and beyond. We recognize that we are all treaty people and strive to understand what that truly means for each of us. We are grateful that Dr. Anne's nephew, Elder Garry Gairdner, supports our community and is available for students as well.
