We are working hard on our speech and language goals! Homework calendars are sent monthly with activities to help with carryover of your child's goals. I hope everyone is able to enjoy a little time outside during some of these beautiful spring days! You will receive speech/language goal updates with your child's report card.

Fall News from Speech:

This year I have a change in building assignments, I will be providing speech services at Armstrong School and Central Junior High School. I am excited for this change! This week for parent teacher conferences, I will be available at Bolin to discuss your child's progress:

3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18th.

8:00-9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 19th.

I will be available at Armstrong School to discuss your child's progress:

5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18th

10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 19th

Dear Families,

My name is Cheryl Hagedorn, and I am the speech pathologist for Armstrong and Bolin Schools! I am so excited to be back again for another great year in District #86! I will be working with your child on their communication goals! I look forward to working together on your child’s communication progress! I can’t wait to meet my new students and welcome back returning students! I will be including my contact information at the bottom of this note, feel free to contact me at any time with questions or concerns.

Beginning of the year information:

*Speech/language services will begin on Tuesday, September 4th.

*Speech times are worked out with your child’s teacher at a time they choose as best.

*Updated speech/language goals will be sent home with your child’s report card

*At parent-teacher conference time in October I will be sending information for you to choose if you would like a conference/email update/phone conference.

*Home practice activities will be sent home, in the form of calendars or other activities. Please practice for 5-10 min. at a time, keep it fun, and contact me with any questions! Home practice is essential to making progress with communication goals!

*Speech times may be canceled due to district testing/meetings/absences.
