This year I will have the pleasure of being your child’s Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. This is my second year teaching and my first year teaching at the at the 5th grade level. I taught 2nd grade here at Elmwood last year, and did my student teaching in 4th Grade.

I have lived in Elmwood Park for the last 17 years and grew up about 15 minutes from here in Chicago. My own daughter attends Elmwood Elementary and is currently a 4th grader. My favorite thing about teaching in Elmwood Park is that this is my community and I feel privileged to be able to serve the children and parents of my community. I’m thrilled when I run into students outside of school in the neighborhood or at community events!

Prior to teaching, I worked as a software developer and technical project manager for a software company for 15 years. In my heart, I knew I wanted to teach and returned to school to obtain my Masters degree from National Louis University. I look forward to working with your child this year and can’t wait to watch them grow as individuals. I’m thrilled when I run into students outside of school in the neighborhood or at community events!
