Eligible students are able to take both standalone courses or participate in the following curated programs to take college freshman classes for specific academic majors.
The Educators for Tomorrow program offers EPAHS students an exciting opportunity to explore the field of education through a partnership with Messiah University. This program helps students begin building the knowledge and experience needed to pursue a future career in teaching. Students participate in a one-year cohort program, with a fall start date, which includes these three different program components:
Dual Enrollment education-specific courses. Courses will be offered for the entire semester (15 weeks), and students have the option of taking classes online or in-person.
Fall semester—EDUC 209 (3 credits) Principles and Structures of Mathematics
Spring semester—EDUC 203 (3 credits) Educational Psychology
Events focused on education and teaching hosted at Messiah University
Experiential learning at EPAHS with a for-credit professional internship
In addition to gaining a deeper understanding and exposure to various opportunities in the business world, students who complete the Business Leaders for Tomorrow program receive a certificate of completion from Messiah University and earn six college credits if they successfully complete the program’s dual enrollment coursework.Students participate in a one-year cohort program, with a fall start date, which includes these three different program components:
Dual Enrollment Business Department courses.students can earn college credit by taking at least two of the following courses:
ACCT 141 Financial Accounting (offered on-campus fall and spring, and online in summer)
ACCT 242 Managerial Accounting (offered on-campus fall and spring)
MRKT 130 Marketing Principles (offered on-campus fall and spring, and online in fall)
ECON 120 Principles of Macroeconomics (offered on-campus fall and spring, and online in fall)
ECON 220 Principles of Microeconomics (offered on-campus fall and spring)
BUSA 120 Principles of Management (offered on-campus fall and spring, and online in summer)

In addition to gaining a deeper understanding and exposure to engineering as a potential career, Engineers for Tomorrow students who successfully complete the dual enrollment coursework can earn up to 20 college credits. By earning these credits in high school, Engineers for Tomorrow graduates have the potential to complete their Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree on an accelerated timeline. Students participate in a one-year cohort program, with a fall start date, which includes these three different program components:

PHYS 211 (4 credits) General Physics w/ Lab
Courses will be offered over the course of the entire semester (15 weeks). ENGR 111 and the accompanying lab (ENGR 111L), and the lab components of CHEM 105 and PHYS 211, will be available in sections specifically dedicated to students in the Engineers for Tomorrow program. For the lecture components of CHEM 105 and PHYS 211, and for the lecture component of MATH 111 and its accompanying lab (MATH 111L), students will be integrated with traditional first-year students on campus.
The schedule for Engineers for Tomorrow is uniquely designed to accommodate dual enrollment students. All courses will be offered between 8-11a.m. on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and between 8-11:45 a.m. on Tuesday/Thursday*, allowing for afternoon flexibility.
*The CHEM 105 lab will begin at 7:45 am on Tuesdays.
