I thought it would be nice to add some information about myself to the site.
I am originally from nowhere and everywhere, but I claim Illinois since I've lived here the longest (since 1998). I grew up in the Chicago suburbs but central Illinois claimed my loyalty after college.
I have a B.A. in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin) and M.A. in Latin, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I also hold a second Master's in Educational Policy with a focus in Diversity and Equity in Education, also at the University of Illinois.
My husband, Tom, is an attorney in Peoria and we have two sons, Finn and Spencer. We also have a dog, Wrigley.
I enjoy cooking and baking, and I'm pretty good at both, if I must say so myself. I love to travel and especially enjoy trying new foods and visiting museums when abroad.
My teaching experience includes 3 years teaching as a graduate assistant at U of I (Mythology, Medical Terminology, Latin), and I am in my 14th year of teaching at EPCHS.
My pronouns are she/her/hers.
