**New Final Exam Exemption Policy**

Students may earn a semester final exam exemption (per class) by having:

● No more than one (1) unexcused absence in the class

● No more than five (5) excused absences in the class

● No more than two (2) tardies to a class without a signed pass

○ A “Late” pass is NOT an approved pass.

● No more than one (1) cell phone / electronic referral for ALL classes

● No more than one (1) ISC/TAC for the semester

● Not receiving an out-of-school suspension for the semester

● Earning a semester grade of 70% or above

➢ All seniors will remain exempt from 2nd semester final exams.

➢ Students who qualify for an exemption may voluntarily take the final exam at no risk of decreasing their grade.

➢ Students in Dual Credit Courses and AP classes will be required to take the course final exam.
