Students will learn about probability of independent events, drawing tree diagrams, probability of complementary events, combinatorics calculations, and using tables and diagrams to find mean, median, and mode.

• Standard probability and methods for calculating probability in everyday situations.

• How combinatorial principles can be used in simple everyday and mathematical problems.

• Tables, diagrams and graphs, and how they can be interpreted and used to describe the results of the pupils’ own and others’ investigations, using such means as digital tools.

• How coordinates and measures of dispersion can be used for assessing results of statistical studies.
