The library has many titles for children and young adults in both Swedish and English.
The fiction books (skönliteratur) are divided up into shelves by Swedish and English, and the shelves are then divided into children (barn) and young adult (ungdom) sections. There is also a special section for comic books and classic literature.
The way libraries organize their fiction books is alphabetically by the LAST NAME of the AUTHOR. The shelves are well marked but it can be tricky when you don’t know the name of the author so ask the librarian to assist you!
The non-fiction (fakta/referensböcker) are divided into many different sections depending on the subject: history, science, social sciences, art, hobby, dictionaries, etc.
The library has a lot of signs to help you find what you’re looking for. Next time you go to the library see if you can spot these signs, and if you’re still having trouble ask the librarian to help you!
