Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
We've decided on using a single bolt and adjustable shaft for the positioning of the probe
analysis shows that it could cover the surface area needed to get a good signal of the pulse
Currently testing the best tilting mechanism of the probe.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Finished CAD design of probe positioning mechanism
Completed CAD design of ratchet mechanism for tightening of the headset
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Complete further analysis and design of the tilting mechanism for the probe. -Carter, Jessica
Fabricate bolt and shaft for the gross positioning of probe - Percy
Brainstorm more ideas for tracking the precise position of the probe after tilting. - Claire
Test how many ratchet tightening mechanisms we need in order to keep the headset in place. - Kaj
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Sponsor said the most important part of positioning is the tilting of the probe.
The probe needs to be able to tilt in two directions and be locked in place.
the exactly location and degree of the tilt needs to be measurable and reproducible.
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Instructor agreed that a complete mechanical device will be better than having electronic components.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Need to figure out how to have two degrees of freedom for the tilting mechanism and be able to precisely track and lock that exact location
