Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Prototype completed for initial testing and validation of design and proof of concept
Small adjustments to design of foam tray to be completed and sent off to vendor for final quote 4/29
Air pocket design verified from manufacturer, and purchase order sent to sponsor 4/29
Pressure distribution components (plumbing, pump, valves) to be determined 5/3
$1750 for two trays is our new best quote from Rockwell Composites in Utah.
Good news is: We have enough money for two trays!
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Materials were purchased in order to create a prototype for testing and validation of our design
Testing allowed many aspects of the tray to be examined and analyzed during simulated usage, and proper updates will be made
Including: tray wall height, air bladder inflation minimum height and pressure
Air pocket concept was verified to actually improve comfort level of the system
Expected PSI levels were obtained from testing (As Predicted! 1-2 psi!)
Further aspects of the final report were edited and completed, mostly worked on chapter 2, completed the abstract
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
