Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Preliminary analysis on optimal air pocket size and positioning has been completed
Mounting apparatus dimensions have been finalized and is currently being designed
Multiple foam samples have been obtained in order to begin testing for attenuation of radiation dosage
Initial schematics for pressure distribution system have been complete
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Quotes are pending from vendors for air pockets
Quotes are pending on vendors for air pumps
Preliminary design of mounting apparatus is being finished and will be sent for quoting soon
Testing has been scheduled to determine the best foam samples
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Determine best method for adhering the foam surrounding the air pockets together (Sanil)
Make proper foam selection from Week 2 tests, then cut and shape foam to fit air pockets and tubing (Daniel)
Place order for custom air pocket to be delivered by Week 4 (Kevin)
Purchase and assemble components for pressure distribution system (Johnathan)

4/3/2019 : In favor of creating a divot in the side of the mounting apparatus in order to facilitate patients getting on and off the examination table (in person)
Actions Taken: Divot incorporated into design of mounting apparatus
4/3/2019 : Comfortable using off-the-shelf products for head and knee support (in person)
Actions Taken: Vendors contacted to begin purchasing of existing head and knee supports

Change scaling of image on slides during presentation, seems unclear
New presentation for design decisions has updated scale
Check material of air bags, could be pollutants
Airbag material cross checked with vendor and found to be environmentally safe

Risks and Areas of Concern
Finding a way to secure the two pieces of foam that are encapsulating the air pockets together without using a glue/adhesive due to the concerns that
strength would wear over time
Preventing air from flowing out of lower-most air chamber into upper air chambers when patient lays down on the device
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Attenuation values on current foam samples (information will be available upon completion of testing on 4/10)
Schedule
Foam selection completed by 4/12
Air pocket and pressure distribution system completed by 4/19
Version 1 prototype by 4/28
Update Gantt chart
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
Spent: $400 (foam)
Remaining: $6600
