Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
We have increased the stirring speed in our device from 480 to 600 RPM for the large stirring mode
We are currently modifying the design of our housing per the sponsor's request to include a plastic base with aluminum walls.
We are looking to get our PCB manufactured this week.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Designed a PCB
Design the inner layouts of components (batteries, coil array, etc.)
Reached out to local glass manufactures for safe shatter-resistant glass.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Have a PCB on order (Joshua)
Increase spin speed (Rendale)
Order display components for the device (Rendale)
Have a final housing design for the sponsor (Seth and Anna)
Have a quote for the glass to be used on the device (Seth)
Order plastic and aluminum once a final housing design has been decided (Anna)
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Feb 20 in person
Suggested to test different patterns of polarity configurations to increase the stirring speed
Suggested to use different size/shape of stir bars for testing
Feb 22 in person
Our sponsor wanted the final design of the housing have an Aluminum frame shell outside the plastic housing, and also needed a rounded edge and corner for the outermost
