Ran a simple optics experiment to get more acquainted with the set-up and potential problems (Winnie, Zijun)
Problems: intensity of the laser used was too strong which made capturing an image of the actual sensor difficult, visible fringe patterns were not the sensor's
Experimentally determined the focal length of the iPhone 6 (Zijun)
Will be used to revisit the previous calculations of the required magnification of the lens system
Found out that the required magnification is still in the range of 15x - 20x magnification
Simulated simple 3 lens system into Zemax (Winnie, Zijun)
Smartphone App (Andy, Mihir)
Ordered the Pixel 2 smartphone
Created a layout of the app design and structure
Tested a few methods to perform automatic image cropping so that the sensor can be located within an image
