Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Currently, the project is in the design phase. We met with our sponsor to figure out some of the areas of design that were unclear. Our constraints and functional requirements are now fully defined and we are able to proceed with design concepts and picking a final design solution.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Meeting with our sponsor allowed us to fully define our functional requirements.
Two of our concepts were modeled in CAD and were shown to our sponsor to gain feedback.
Research was done on linear actuators and motors in order to determine what would be feasible for our budget.
A one-dimensional model is being constructed for the risk reduction.
A reoccurring meeting time was set with the sponsor for the coming quarter.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Finish risk reduction one-dimensional movement with variable control - Dan, Alan, Young
Research for linear actuators and gears - Janak, Frank
Model design solutions in Solidworks - Janak, Frank
Choose final design solution - Team

3/16 (in person) - The suspension system must be backdrivable and must be able to be locked. - Research to be done for locking mechanism
3/16 - To string the laryngoscope into the patient, the suspension system is moved along with the laryngoscope - Using a pedal control for the vertical movement
3/16 - Website is to be password protected
3/16 - Picture of current setup was shown to team
