Temperature Testing

Five places from the inverter setup were selected for temperature measurements as shown in the below diagram.

These regions were selected to cover critical components.

Temperature was taken at each region with 30 minute intervals using a thermal imaging camera. Four such intervals were considered. The readings are tabulated as below.

Conclusion

• High temperature effects may occurred due to harmonic currents circulating through the inductor.

• Forced cooling is required when using the inverter for long periods under stress.
