Industry Partners & Internships

Our unique school model is a collaboration between the New York City Department of Education, the City University of New York, the Early College Initiative, LaGuardia Community College, Con Edison, National Grid, and NY Power Authority. Students graduate from our program well-positioned for a range of in-demand STEM careers in the local energy/utility industry or as strong candidates for four-year colleges.

All students have the opportunity to engage in a variety of career experiences including, but not limited to:

• Small group industry mentoring with an employee from conEdison or National Grid in 9th and 10th grade

• Field trips to labs and worksites in 9th and 10th grade

• Job Shadowing in 10th grade

• Internship opportunities in 11th and 12th grade
