How can I ensure my child gets an offer to your school?
Please refer to our admissions page where there are more details about how offers are made. We do not personally review report cards, letters of recommendation, state test scores, or any other related documentation. All categories are determined by the Office of High School Enrollment and all offers are determined in a similar fashion.
How does your waitlist work?
If you include Energy Tech on your application and do not receive an offer, you are automatically added to our waitlist. Additionally, if you did not include Energy Tech on your application but you are now interested, you can add yourself to our waitlist in your MySchools account. From the time offers go out through mid-September, we make offers from the waitlist as seats become available. All offers are made in the order in which students are listed on the waitlist.
Does my child have to stay in your program for grades 13 and 14?
No. It is great to have options! Students work with our college counselor during their 12th grade year to ensure students have a well-rounded college application and are applying to colleges and universities that are a good fit for each student. All students are encouraged and welcomed to stay in our program, but we understand that it's not always the best fit for a student. Our job is to ensure each student's success in school and in life and our college counselor is instrumental in that process.
