Energy Tech's 6-year program allows students to begin earning college credits while still in high school. Students can remain enrolled for grades 13 and 14 to work toward an Associate's Degree from our partner school, LaGuardia Community College.
This program is at NO COST to you!
Our students will take college classes as early as 10th grade, and they will learn not only in our high school classrooms, but also on the college campus and in real workplace situations—learning alongside and getting feedback from teachers, professors, and engineers.
Students begin by taking “general” coursework before moving into energy- and engineering-focused classes. Some of the first college courses that students at Energy Tech take are in critical thinking, upper-level mathematics, English composition, and physical sciences. Later in the program, students take coursework in circuit theory, fluid dynamics, computer logic and design, AutoCAD, materials science, electromechanical devices, and much more.
