Year 9 was an unforgettable year for me, largely because of Ms. Rita's guidance, just as she had the previous year. One of the main reasons we kept pushing to be our best as a class was her constant support and encouragement. I am truly grateful for Ms. Rita, all my teachers, and our entire class. I really loved Year 9, and I hope to carry this sentiment into the next school year as well.

The most memorable event in Year 9 for me was International Day! I loved working together with everyone. Although the week of preparations was a bit stressful, the actual day was genuinely one of the best times of the year. I enjoyed seeing everyone working so hard to put on the best show for the judges and Mr. Jaco. It was great to see everyone contributing what they could and to relax while listening to music together right before the judging. I'm proud of us as a class and thrilled that we won first place for best decorations.

BOLIVIA was the country we were representing and we took the judges on a stroll in a traditional Bolivian market. The Bolivian market bursts with vibrant colors and the rich aroma of spices, as stalls overflow with fresh produce, handmade crafts, and traditional textiles. Vendors in brightly embroidered clothing enthusiastically barter with customers, their laughter mingling with the sounds of Andean music. Amid the hustle and bustle, the air is thick with the scent of grilled meats and sweet tropical fruits, creating an intoxicating sensory experience.
Safe to say we won best class in the South American block!
International Day
The 7th of March,2024, was undoubtedly the best day of school this year! We were Bolivia, and we had several events happening on that day like class preparations competition (which we won), and the seniors vs teachers rematch at the end of the day, a seniors vs teachers volleyball match. We also ate some delicious Bolivian food that our classmate Abdulrahman made, and a very exciting International day show prepared by the House leaders.

"In the heat of competition, I rise above,
Earning glory and respect, and often love.
With a trophy in hand and a title so grand,
Who am I? The best in the land."
International Day at our school was an exciting and vibrant event. Our class was assigned to decorate the room to represent the diversity and culture of Bolivia. We transformed our classroom into a colorful display of traditional artifacts, posters, and flags. Everyone pitched in, bringing items from home that showcased the customs of our selected nation. The room buzzed with excitement as we set up with food samples, music, and informative displays. It was a great experience to see our hard work come to life and to learn about the different cultures represented by our classmates. The event truly celebrated the spirit of internationalism and brought the class together to make a great room.

"I add and subtract, multiply and divide,
With numbers and equations, I take you for a ride.
What subject am I, where numbers are the key,
Solving problems, you’ll find me."
"I study the earth, the sky, and the sea,
From atoms to planets, all wonders to see.
Experiments and theories help me explain,
The mysteries of life, through sun and rain."
"I’m filled with stories, poems, and plays,
Words and grammar guide my ways.
Reading, writing, speaking too,
What subject am I, teaching you?"
"Mountains, rivers, and oceans wide,
Countries and cities where people reside.
Maps and globes help you explore,
What subject am I, with the earth at my core?"
"I tell the tales of people and places,
From ancient times to modern faces.
Learning from the past, to understand today,
What subject am I, guiding the way?"
