Online Classroom Example


The following is an example of how teaching online may work. These are not guidelines or requirements.

Friday end of day

Joe puts an assignment in Google Classroom or another similar platform and sets a time for class discussion at 10:15am through a videoconferencing platform such as Teams.

10am

Class begins. Joe and the students log on to Google Classroom. Students review their assignments and read the instructions.

1015am

Joe starts a videoconference to answer questions and foster discussion. 

Monday
1025am

The students work independently on their assignment (in their workbook, on a sheet of paper or in Google Classroom). If they have a question, they  post it as a comment under the assignment.

1045am

Joe wraps up the lesson with a 5min video conference, and answers the students' questions.

BREAK

Monday
11-1130am

Joe looks at his other online classes and answers students' questions from the past few days directly within Google Classroom or by answering emails received from students.

Monday
1130am-1220pm

Joe has an online classroom discussion with his students about a given topic.
