Individual counseling includes sessions for adolescents, young adults, and adults (ages 14 and up). In the initial intake session, our therapists will offer guidance and answer any questions about how therapy works and discuss clinical style and orientation, confidentiality, the client/therapist relationship, and will review intake documents, as needed. The remainder of the session will be devoted to gaining insight into each client's past history and background and identifying current issues and concerns. Together you will begin to formulate a treatment plan to help guide subsequent sessions.
Couples counseling includes two partners seeking support with a variety of issues including but not limited to: healthier conflict resolution, enhancing functional communication, increasing intimacy and empathy within the relationship, coping with infidelity, coping with infertility, and any other issues brought into therapy.
Family counseling includes any family system (nuclear, of origin, traditional or non-traditional) seeking supports for a variety of issues including but not limited to: healthier or more functional conflict resolution, enhancing communication, managing divorce or separation, adoption, or any other issues brought into therapy.
