Speech@Emerson's site visits are a 20-30 minute zoom meeting with both the supervisor and student. Our program uses site visits as a way to check in on the student’s clinical performance and progression, develop goals for the remainder of the semester, and as an opportunity for the program to receive feedback from both students and supervisors.
It is a conversation and not an opportunity to observe treatments or evaluations.
Our team will send supervisors and students a link to our site visit calendar via email. Find a time that works for you and your student.
Site visits do not replace midterm evaluation meetings between supervisors and students. Site visits do not include observation of work with a client.
PRE SITE VISIT CHECKLIST:
Prior to the site visit, supervisors are expected to:
Complete the Midterm Evaluation in CALIPSO
Review the Midterm Evaluation with your student
Review and approve logged hours in CALIPSO
Prior to the site visit, students are expected to:
Ensure the completed student/supervisor contract is uploaded to the course site in Canvas
Complete their Self-Evaluation in CALIPSO
Review the Midterm Evaluation/Self-Evaluation with their supervisor
Log all accrued clock hours in CALIPSO
