CALIPSO

Emerson currently uses a web-based platform called CALIPSO to a) review and sign off on clinical clock hours and b) complete the midterm and final evaluations. The graduate student clinician is already registered in the system and uses CALIPSO to log his/her clinical clock hours. At the beginning of the practicum, you and your student will review the student's cohort (graduation date), curriculum track, and course number on the Student-Supervisor Contract.

If this is your first time supervising a Speech@Emerson student:

• A time-sensitive PIN from CALIPSO will be generated and emailed to you around the practicum start date.

• The PIN will be sent to the email address we have on file. 

• Once supervisors receive the PIN, they can register in the system. 

• After completing registration, for all subsequent logins, go directly to the university login page: https://www.calipsoclient.com/emerson/

• Log into your account with your ASHA number as your Login ID and the password you created for yourself during registration.

• Once registered, the student can then select the placement site from the drop down when logging hours. All sites will be loaded as well. 

*Please note: All colleges and universities have their own CALIPSO login sites. If you have used CALIPSO before with another program, you will still need to create a new Emerson CALIPSO account.

If you have supervised a Speech@Emerson Student:

• Once you are registered in the Emerson CALIPSO system, your same login information and password can be used term after term.

• Please visit: https://www.calipsoclient.com/emerson/ to enter your login information. 

• If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot password?" on the login page and follow the instructions.
