LONG RANGE GOALS
1.1
Ensure that every student meets or exceeds grade-level standards in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and Social Studies by 2030.

Ensure that every Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 2 student meets or exceeds grade-level standards in foundational skills.
1.3
Increase academic language proficiency and reclassification rates of Long-Term English Learners (LTELs) in Grades 4–8.

Advance the effectiveness of data-driven instruction through high-functioning equity-focused Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) centered on student outcomes.
25-26 Focus Goal: Strengthen Tier 1 instruction through expanding the use of evidence-based strategies, effective PLCs, and the consistent use of Common Formative Assessments (CFAs).
METRICS
Increase by 10% the number of students meeting or exceeding standards on the CAASPP in Grades 3–8
Increase by 10% the number of students meeting or exceeding standards on the CAASPP in Grades 3–8 in the following subgroups: English Learners, Long-Term English Learners, Students with Disabilities, and Socioeconomically Disadvantaged.
Implement district-wide assessments in TK–Grade 2 and use results to monitor and report on foundational skill development in literacy and numeracy, disaggregated by student group.
Decrease the number of LTELs in Grades 4–8 by 20% annually, based on growth in ELPAC scores, core academic performance, and district criteria.
Implement and analyze CFAs in all grade levels to monitor student progress toward mastery of essential standards.
STRATEGIES
Identify and implement essential standards and common formative and summative assessments across all grade levels.
Provide targeted professional development in evidence-based instructional strategies and effective use of assessments to inform instruction.
