Summer Sketchbook

CAPSTONE SUMMER SKETCHBOOK PROJECT
CAPSTONE ART 462

The Senior Sketchbook Exhibition is a glimpse into the summer-long Capstone Sketchbook Project, recommended to all rising senior art majors. The project involved 45-minutes of daily drawing practice in a 12x9 sketchbook. By the end of the summer, many students had amassed over 100 drawings in various mediums. The project aimed to build upon existing drawing skills and reinforce daily studio practice. Although students were encouraged to focus on exploration rather than finish, much of the resulting work produced pieces worthy of exhibition. This group exhibition showcases some of those works.

This was the first exhibition in William & Mary Sadler Center's new Hart Gallery.
