AASI strives to provide opportunities for members to engage with the greater Asian American community in the United States by engaging in available conferences.
East Coast Asian American college organizations come together every year in April, hosted by a different college, to discuss various Asian American related topics such as voting, mental health, community organizing, history, and more! AASI members also often volunteer to host and lead workshops on topics. We've had students from all grade levels and experiences present at ECAASU so if you have a topic you're interested in presenting, let us know!
The AAAS (or triple A-S) conference focuses more on the Asian American studies academic sphere, welcoming professionals, academics, activists, and students to engage in productive dialogue and presentations.
AASI's mission for conferences is to make the experience as affordable as possible for all of our members. We often request conference funding from William & Mary and through fundraising efforts. If you would like to attend any conferences, please let us know as soon as possible when we open sign-ups!
AASI is committed to breaking down barriers for attending Asian American conferences. If you have a conference in mind that you don't see here that you would like support in attending, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
