Family comes in many shapes and forms given the person’s lifestyle. It can be family by blood or by friends, or even someone who you consider close to you; someone you depend on and build one another up. To me, family runs far deeper than simply one by blood, but the stories that lie behind it. To know a little about me and the body of work I present to you, I come from an immigrant family. From the beginning of my grandparents on both my parents' sides(as you will see in the paintings), they came from Mexico and moved to the United States in search of Opportunity and Freedom away from the crime that began to grow. They are the beginning of my family's treeline in the U.S, soon my parents meeting, and finally me and my siblings becoming the second generation of Hispanics. I hold a deep compassion for my family and thank the Lord for the blessings provided, and with this body of work, I give tribute to the generations before me.
