Heraclitus of Ephesus
In 535 BC Heraclitus, a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher was born. Heraclitus had many beliefs that were later on found very eye opening. He is known for his studies in how everything always changes and how that opposites always coincide. Heraclitus passed away in 480 BCE.
Heraclitus once wrote, “Opposition brings concord: Out of discord comes the fairest harmony.” I believe that this means that whenever working with others there will always be disagreements, and yet this will come to compromises. I saw this in Heraclitus’ life while reading about him, because of the chaos in the world that was going on during his lifetime. The chaos was settled when people realized that peace made the world a better place to live in.
I have had hard times during my years of learning. During many classes I have had to discuss grades with teachers and how to better them. Both my teachers and I have worked together in order to come to compromises. While I put more effort into my work, my teachers have agreed to continue to give feedback in order to help my learning future.
