Henry Ford
According to the biography written on Henry Ford, Ford was born on July 30, 1863 and lived until April 7, 1947. He was the only surviving son of William Ford and Mary Ford. The Ford family lived in Greenfield Township, Michigan. In 1888, Ford married his wife, Clara Ala Bryant. Ford’s wife soon gave birth to their son, Edsel Ford. Henry Ford was the first person who successfully used the assembly line. One of Ford’s biggest achievements was the Franklin Institute’s Elliott Cresson Medal that he won in 1928. Ford passed away in 1947 on April 7th due to a brain hemorrhage. Throughout his lifetime, Ford believed that working hard towards what you believe is how you will reach your goals.
Ford’s most famous quote is, “Whether you think you can or you think you can't, either way you're right.” I believe that this quote is incentive for people to believe in themselves. The quote is saying that depending on what you believe in, that it will influence your outcome of the task at hand. If you believe that you will succeed, you shall, and vice versa.
In my life experience I have been through both failure and success. Failure is the bigger half of my life. When I was in middle school I had been going through a hard time with depression which was causing me to have a hard time with going to school. My parents soon realized that this was a real issue and something needed to change. My mom and dad agreed to figure out how to switch me over to being homeschooled. This transition took some time to get used to but as soon as both my mom and I got the hang of it, things seemed to look up for the better. I had set my mind to making my life better. Since then I have come so far as to even make it to Thomas Nelson in my junior year of high school. I have seen myself grow into an successful young woman.
Henry Ford believed in all of the people around him. This quote was made to push people of all sorts to make their lives better. The fact that you can believe in yourself, and that just your mindset will make your outcome in life much better is truly inspiring.
