Skills-Based Health Education

Health Education gives students the tools they need to keep themselves safe as young people, and to live healthy, happy lives as adults

Skills Based Health Education is a comprehensive and relevant curriculum that uses participatory methods to help students develop the skills, attitudes, and functional knowledge needed to lead health enhancing lives.

Below are the skills Blake students practice as they learn about adolescent growth and development, healthy relationships, media literacy, and how to: identify personal values, reduce bullying, avoid substance use,  prevent injuries and illness, contribute to a respectful community, and access mental health information and services.
