About Dr. Leah Fabiano-Smith

Leah Fabiano-Smith earned her PhD in Communication Sciences from Temple University in 2006 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in theoretical phonology at the Center for Research in Language at UCSD/SDSU in 2008. Her research focuses on phonological acquisition and disorders in bilingual Spanish-English speaking children and health disparities in the Latinx population. She is the director of the Bilingual Certificate Program at the U of A.
