Resources were included if they were in the public domain, accessible for people with disabilities, and were neutral in terms of their focus on fundraising and political ideologies.
Jason Horn served as the Provider Training Resource Coordinator for the Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Center. He is a second-year Master of Public Health student at the University of Arizona, with an emphasis on Health Services Administration. He graduated from the University of Arizona in 2021 with a Bachelor of Psychology and a Minor in Public Health. Jason worked to compile provider resources in the area of substance use disorder/opioid use disorder treatment.
Estefanía Mendivil (She/They) has been a member of the staff at the Arizona Center for Rural Health (AzCRH) since 2020. Since graduating with her Bachelor of Art degrees in Psychology and Latin American Studies, Estefanía transitioned from their student role as an Accessibility Coordinator to their current position as a Professional Community Outreach I. They serve their role at the Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Center (CPAC) and the Arizona Medication Assisted Treatment Mentors Program (AzMAT). Within CPAC, Estefanía collaborates to create and disseminate education/ resource material that is culturally and linguistically responsive to healthcare providers of all backgrounds.
Dr. Bridget Murphy has three decades of education and experience in behavioral health and educational research/evaluation, services, and support. She has held positions in academic institutions, community-based and private sector organizations. Dr. Murphy holds a doctorate in behavioral health and Master’s in education. Her principal experience is substance use, mental health, and related infectious diseases for culturally diverse children, youth, and families in various settings. As a teen, Dr. Murphy struggled with substance use and mental health issues and participated in treatment. This experience provided the foundation for her academic and professional direction.
