Equity is the presence of fairness, impartiality, and social justice for individuals and communities that have been historically disenfranchised.1 Disenfranchised populations may face barriers for receiving and remaining in treatment, which is why provider education on these topics is essential to create more equitable health outcomes.2 Health equity is focused on removing barriers and addressing disparities and dissimilarities in healthcare, and health outcomes to ensure quality services for all people. Continual quality improvement helps to ensure all Arizonans have access to equitable health care. To reduce fatal overdoses, studies are using multi-service sector collaborations3 which have been found to facilitate access to substance use disorder treatment.4 Learning materials are focused on offering equity-focused healthcare solutions.
