Problem Solving / Critical Thinking

Based off of community, faculty, student and stakeholder responses, Elysian will work towards supporting students in the are of Problem Solving / Critical Thinking, upon completing their education within our building. The ways this will be done is as followed:

• Implementing project-based learning opportunities that require students to analyze, evaluate, and propose solutions to real-world problems.

• Integrating critical thinking skills into all subject areas, encouraging students to question, analyze and evaluate information.

• Providing training and resources for faculty to incorporate problem-solving and critical thinking activities into their lesson plans.

• Collaborating with community partners to provide real-world experiences that challenge students to think critically and solve complex problems.

• Seeking feedback from stakeholders on the effectiveness of these initiatives and making adjustments as needed to better support students in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 

Overall, Elysian school is committed to providing a learning environment that fosters the development of essential problem-solving and critical thinking skills that will serve students well beyond their time at our school.
