• use their superpowers to write sentences

• use phonograms (at, it, in, an, ip, ug) to write other words

• continue to learn new snap words

• be introduced to diagraphs (sh, ch, th)

• focus on snap words: can, to, do, we, be, got, was, went, she, he

Unit 4: Vowel Power

In this unit, children will:

• continue to learn new snap words

• study short vowel sounds and use them in reading and writing CVC words (cat, man, sit, fin)

• focus on snap words: how, you, am, did, on, up, fun, get, day, play, say, for

• Blends and digraphs that use letters s, r, l, h (sk, cr, gl, ch)

Unit 5: Playing with Phonics

In this unit, children will:

• be introduced to blends

• study how sounds change

• tackle longer words and study the word parts

• focus on snap words: come, are, love, too, all, ball, had, will, go, so, no, by, has, as, her, him
