The Huntington Youth Bureau provides many programs for our Middle School's students. The following is a brief explanation of the programs they provide.
• Youth Directions and Alternatives (Y.D.A) works with our staff to plan student groups and help students connect with their larger peer group through Friday night drop-ins and trips through out the year.
• Project Excel works with the counseling center staff to set up groups during lunch time to discuss study skills, job information and babysitting workshops.
• Sanctuary is a program designed to help students who are in distress in their home lives. They provide a safe haven for youth in extreme situations, but also work with students and parents in our school by providing short term family counseling.
• Huntington Drug and Alcohol works with students through informational sessions on the dangers of drug and alcohol use and provides resources for rehabilitation and family support.
