All Journalism classes are workshop-based opportunities for students to work as a team to create, design and publish the student newspaper, The Viking Saga. Journalism students will practice and develop skills of interviewing, investigating and reporting in a real world environment that emphasizes creative problem solving and meeting deadlines. Students learn writing skills for News, Features, Sports and Entertainment sections. Curiosity, creativity, cooperation, and accountability are critical characteristics for success.
