What is Project Philos?
Project Philos is the philanthropic arm of CFC at York Community High School, under Elmhurst School District 205. Derived from the Greek word for “love,” Philos represents our commitment to supporting students while promoting leadership, financial excellence, and a sense of service.
Philos represents our club’s enduring belief that finance is not just about numbers—it’s about empowerment, community, and purpose.

Project Philos is dedicated to:
💼 Expanding access to competitive finance and business technological intelligence
📈 Providing scholarships and fellowships. Opportunities include attendance at finance camps, certification prep, case competitions and University funding assistance.
🤝 Building bridges through alumni and community mentorship
🎁 Enabling service projects, nonprofit partnerships, and local economic education outreach
All funds raised through Philos are dedicated to student support, application based learning, and mission-aligned initiatives.

All donations will be restricted for the exclusive benefit of CFC, within the York Community High School / Elmhurst School District 205 framework.
Cottage Hill Excellence Foundation, Inc. (CHEF) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports Supporting the CFC as its flagship educational beneficiary program.
Scholarships are funded and administered by Cottage Hill Excellence Foundation, Inc. (CHEF) in support of eligible students participating in CFC.
Donors may receive recognition in CFC's upcoming “Partners in Philos” showcase.
