Project Alpha Mentorship Program

CFC encourages all members to unlock their potential and aim for "alpha"—just as alpha in finance represents performance that surpasses expectations, our mentoring program is here to help members achieve results that go beyond the standard. Through guidance, skill-building, and consistent growth, we’ll work together to help underclassmen generate excess returns in academics, leadership, and personal development.

Project Alpha is CFC's recruitment and mentorship program that seeks to link underclassmen (freshman and sophomore mentees) with upperclassmen (juniors and senior mentors) to help guide their participation in CFC as well help navigate YCHS and provide advice and feedback on potential college major opportunities available in the world of business and finance.

Project Alpha mentees have the opportunity to learn from mentors who have knowledge in various areas of finance and business including Investment Banking, Asset Management, Private Equity, Commercial Banking, etc.  CFC mentors will establish relationships with mentees and host insightful recruitment workshops once a month which will provide mentees with specific base knowledge about the various aspects of CFC topics.

What are the benefits of being a mentee and attending meetings? 

Project Alpha mentorship program informally pairs mentees with mentors to acclimate underclassmen with CFC members. Through attending meetings hosted by various mentors, you can participate in tailored informational sessions regarding career paths in finance, technical and other workshops about networking, coffee chats, etc.
