Maya Schultz - Managing Partner
Maya is a senior at York Community High School and is involved in several leadership and community-focused activities. At York, she is a member of the lacrosse team and National Honor Society, serves as a Freshman Orientation Guidance Mentor, and is President of the philanthropic branch of Corporate Finance Club. Outside of school, Maya is a co-founder of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Concerts for Cancer, where she helps raise awareness and support for those affected by cancer. She is also involved in the Carnegie Mellon Young Leaders program, where she developed and presented an entrepreneurial idea, competing for and earning funding to support its development. These experiences sparked her interest in philanthropic management, combining her passion for business and finance with her desire to make a meaningful impact.
Josh Redick- Managing Partner
Josh is a senior at York Community High School with a strong interest in investing, financial markets, mathematics, and business. He serves as Managing Partner of Asset Management for York’s Corporate Finance Club and is actively involved in the Math Team, where he has competed at the regional level. Josh has developed his passion for investing through competitions, leading a team to first place in the Calamos MarketWatch Investment Competition and earning 12th place in the Central Region through DECA’s Stock Market Game. Outside of finance, Josh is a four-year varsity lacrosse player and 2026 team captain, and he coaches youth lacrosse. He plans to study mathematics and finance in college, combining his quantitative interests with his passion for investing and financial analysis.
Will Kellam - Managing Partner
Will is a senior at York Community High School who has passion for understanding all aspects of our corporate world. He has been a part of CFC since its 2024 inception, climbing the ranks from Junior Analyst to Managing Partner. Additionally he has been a valued member of the Economics club, his team placing 3rd in the state competition. Will leads his peers as a Freshman Orientation and Guidance Counselor and as a youth catechist at his church. Athletically, Will is a four year golf player and a member of the state placing team, a soon to be four year baseball player, and the 2023 Freshman Basketball team captain. He is thrilled to facilitate meaningful growth amongst the York community through CFC this year.
Emery Plamann - Managing Director
Emery is a junior at York Community High school who is a managing director of the philanthropic board, she is involved in many different York programs. Emery has helped to build the connection of Aspire Chicago to Corporate Finance Club, where her volunteer and philanthropic character is shown. Supporting incoming 9th graders, Emery is a Link Crew Leader for Freshman orientation. She is a part of York culture club giving more insight of students opinions to an administrators work. She has been running track for 3 years and is a Co-captain of the team. Working in retail, she helps to bring connections with more than finance.
Emi Gambill- Managing Director
Emi is a senior at York Community High School and serves on the Executive Board of York’s Corporate Finance Club as Resource Management Director. She is passionate about leadership, volunteering, and working with others. Outside of school, Emi co-founds Kids That Kare, a charity that provides bags of necessities and goodies to homeless individuals. She also loves working with children and regularly babysits and nannies, as well as works as a summer camp counselor. Through her involvement in school, community service, and working with kids, Emi has developed a strong passion for helping others and making a positive impact in her community. As a member of the Executive Board, she loves contributing to the growth of the club and creating opportunities for other students to learn about finance.
John O’Connor - Faculty Advisor
John is a Finance & Business Honors/Dual Credit Instructor in the Business & Technology Department at York Community High School. He has held a variety of senior positions throughout his business & finance career with a focus on: value creation; private equity; fixed income analysis; investment and commercial banking; multi-tiered capital raising; valuations; corporate and project/recourse and non-recourse financings; mergers and acquisitions; and consulting/advising. John earned a B.A. in Economics from Northern Illinois University, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Depaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a Masters of Teaching degree from North Park University.
