Open the Chrome Browser Settings
Select the Advanced drop down menu
Once the Advanced drop down menu is open, make sure you are in the Privacy and Security Section.
The second to last section in Privacy and Security should read "Site Settings".
Click on that section.
At the very top of the Site Settings module there should be a section reading "View permissions and data stored across sites"
If only a specific site has been giving you problems, you can click on the section and find the site that you have been having difficulties with. You can then enable/block certain permissions specific to that one website.
If you are unable to use your camera on certain sites, or it is disabled from everything, this can make it easier for sites to utilize your device camera.
First find the section labeled "Camera".
Like in the box highlighted to the left, below "Camera", it should show the current setting that your device is set to.
In order to change that setting, click on the section.
The little toggle button (boxed in red) will change the settings for if sites will be allowed to use your camera.
Below the toggle, there are also two sections that display sites you have always allowed to use the camera and sites that you may have blocked.
**On some models of Chromebook, the camera is able to be rotated. If the camera is turned too much or excessively, the wires may become stressed causing the device to not receive camera signal or have difficulties.
If your flash player is disabled, certain aspects of websites may not work or show up. Often the site will state "Flash needs to be enabled" or something of that sort.
To fix this issue, scroll through the site permissions until you see the puzzle piece icon labeled "Flash".
In smaller text below "Flash" it should display the current setting of that module.
Select that section to change the setting.
Please note as displayed in the screenshot to the left, the box in purple stating, Your Flash settings will be kept until you quit Chrome. This you cannot change unfortunately, but you can enable certain websites.
The toggle button boxed in red to the left will show what the setting is. It probably is set to block Flash, since that is the Google Chrome recommendation.
By clicking on the toggle button, you can change the settings temporarily (until you quit Chrome) and have a website that requires flash to run ask permission to run rather than just automatically block.
Again, just as it is with the camera, below the toggle settings you can see what sites have been allowed to run flash and which sites have been designated to block it.
