Whole school attendance was 97.9% last week - the highest so far this term, congratulations everyone!

Unfortunately, whilst attendance is looking really, really good, punctuality is still a problem. It is really important that all children are in their classrooms ready to learn by 8:45am. Arriving late can mean missing out on fun learning activities and can also be disruptive to others in the class. If you are often late, you could get up ten minutes earlier, or start getting everything ready for school before you go to bed each evening. Our next whole school challenge is to get lateness below 2% by the end of the school year, currently it is 2.22% - we can do this!

Unfortunately, due to illness, whole school attendance dropped slightly, to 96.3% last week. If you are so poorly that you need to stay in bed or on the sofa then you may need a day at home to feel better and so that your illness isn't passed on to anyone else. If you are well enough to play, or go to the shops, or to a friends house, then you should be in school. If your parents are not sure whether you should be in school or not they can talk to Mrs Shephard for some advice. Overall the girls had better attendance than the boys last week, they were in line with our school target of 96.5% - well done girls!
