Shireland Hall 5 - 1 Cape Primary

On the 21st March 2018 at Shireland Hall Primary we had a fantastic game against Cape Primary. We started off with a problem which was that our main goalkeeper was feeling ill therefore we had to play with our second goalkeeper.

We kicked off and after only three minutes our striker scored a goal with a powerful shot, which curled into the bottom corner. Cape started off with powerful striking, they took a shot but our keeper made an excellent save. We played ‘Tiki Taka’ which was a great advantage. One of our players was fouled near the goal and we got a penalty! The fouled player stepped up to take it and scored with his left foot. The ball went past the keeper and into the net. We were strong in defence and the same up front. Our striker scored a wonderful goal with the back of his foot, straight into the top corner. We scored one more from distance so we were 4-0 up at half-time!

We were able to use our substitutes a bit more as the game wore on. In was the second half and Cape started very aggressively. They took a shot and beaten our goalie, the score was 4-1. The match was about to end when their defender deflected a cross in and scored an own goal. The final score was 5-1. A brilliant start to our league season!
