I am the Early Years Leader at Ellingham Primary School and I am passionate about offering children quality teaching and learning experiences that enable every child to reach their full potential. I joined the school in 1998, when the nursery first opened, having previously worked as a reception and nursery teacher in Kingston Upon Thames. My ambition is to ensure that children have the best introduction to school life.
I qualified with a B.Ed Honours Degree and a Certificate of Professional Practice in Early Childhood Education and ensure that I keep up to date with the latest research and training in this area.
My pastimes are gardening, which is reflected in school in our lovely planters in the Reception outside area, going for walks and spending time with my family and friends.
Mrs Peters
Early Years Leader & Class Teacher
I have spent 8 years of my teaching career as a teacher in reception class. I love supporting children to make their first step to become independent learners, building their language skills and helping them form positive friendships that often last throughout their primary school life.
As well as teaching, I have an artistic background and I bring that speciality to the early years' environment and the school. It is really important that children have the opportunity to learn skills and also express themselves through creativity.
Miss Frewin
Class Teacher
I joined Ellingham in 2012 while I qualified and worked across the school before leaving in 2017 to have twins. I was delighted to return to Ellingham in September 2020. I really enjoy working with the younger children and helping them to develop especially seeing their imaginations and social skills develop so fast. Their enthusiasm for learning is infectious and there is never a dull moment in reception!
Outside of work I like to keep fit and particularly enjoy running. I also love to spend time with my family and try to visit the seaside in our caravan as often as possible.
