Thank you for your interest in joining the Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department. We are a combination career and volunteer department operating out of two stations, Ellicott City (4150 Montgomery Road) and Bethany (9601 Old Frederick Road) . We are one of the busiest departments in Howard County with our response area covering the northeastern end of the county.

We offer three types of memberships: Firefighter, EMS, and Associate. Click the images below for more information about each of our types of memberships.

The minimum requirement for all prospective members is to be 16 years of age or older.
