The emergent layer of the rainforest is the highest point, because of this it gets the most sunlight and lots of rain. This layer is home to lots of tall trees, some are even grown up to 250 feet! This layer is home to small animals, birds and more. But going back to sunlight and the weather this layer gets, it is also exposed to heavy thunderstorms and wind!
