Our Mission
SITE provides a venue for educators to focus on a central inquiry question and work together to investigate it rigorously and deeply over a substantial period of time. By creating ongoing collaborative opportunities for educators to expand their professional knowledge, we can develop the relationships that are needed to transform our environments and identities so that powerful learning can take place in our college courses as we adapt to the AB 705 world, and as El Camino College becomes a guided pathways institution.

Our vision is that SITE and its focused learning communities will transform personal teaching practices, create more powerful and equitable classrooms, and allow educators to take ownership of their professional learning so that they can feel empowered as agents of change during this transformative time in California community colleges.
