Mrs. Almond has been a School Counselor at Elbert County Comprehensive High school since 2006. Prior to that, she served as an Elementary School Counselor in Elbert County and as a Middle School Counselor in Hart County. Mrs. Almond earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Furman University. She earned both a Master's degree in Education and a Specialist degree in School Counseling from the University of Georgia.
At ECCHS, Mrs. Almond serves as the Dual Enrollment Coordinator, assisting students through both the application and scheduling process. She also provides college admissions counseling services to seniors, helping them to navigate college applications, standardized testing, letters of recommendation, transcript submission, and financial aid. Other duties at ECCHS include planning parent information nights, scheduling and registration for all grade levels, new student enrollment, planning a yearly College Fair and coordinating the school's annual Awards Program.
Mrs. Almond is married and has two children: Caroline, who is a graduate of Georgia College & State University, and Max, who is a graduate of Appalachian State University.

Dr. Monika Woods is a school counselor at Elbert County Comprehensive High School. She has served K-12 students for more than 20 years. Dr. Woods earned her Bachelor of Science degree by attending North Georgia Technical college and then transferring and graduating from Toccoa Falls College. She also holds a Masters of education (School Counseling) degree and a PhD in Education/Special Education from Liberty University.
Dr. Woods has individual, clinical and group counseling experience. She believes each individual has a unique purpose and path. Collaborating with coworkers, families, and business, is her way of serving students at ECCHS. She believes that aiding connection and engagement in purposeful conversation and activity empowers individuals, families, and communities.
Dr. Woods was raised in Southern California, and moved to Georgia with her husband Tim, USAF veteran and electrician. They have two daughters, and one daughter in law, one son, two son in laws, and 3 grandchildren.

Mrs. Driver, Graduation Coach at Elbert County Comprehensive High School, has been employed with the Elbert County School System for 40 years. For 35 years, she served as a math teacher at ECCHS. The last 4 years she has served as Graduation Coach. Mrs. Driver earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from UGA's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. She earned both a Master's degree in Mathematics Education and a Specialist degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Driver serves as Senior Class Advisor and monitors student academic progress toward meeting graduation requirements. She also coordinates BRIDGE / Career Education, CAPSTONE, Extended Credit Recovery, After-school Credit Recovery, and Online learning opportunities. She works with UGA's TRIO Program and coordinates the REACH Scholarship program at ECCHS. Other duties include CTAE Testing Coordinator.
Mrs. Driver is a proponent of public education and is dedicated to helping students reach their goals.

Mrs. Julie Burton is the registrar and data clerk at ECCHS. She is responsible for maintaining all school records for incoming and current students. Mrs. Burton also sends all transcripts for seniors who are applying to college.
Mrs. Burton graduated from ECCHS in 2001 and attended Athens Technical College. She is married and has four daughters: Liberty, Cadance, Isabella, and Ruby Grace.

Work Based Learning
Any student wishing to add Work Based Learning to their schedule must contact Mrs. Crook directly at dcrook@elbert.k12.ga.us for an application and approval.
