Endorsement

Many businesses including rental facility like schools and college will request insurance certificate and endorsement. This is for their best interest.

Insurance certificate has insurance company name, policy number and limits. We enter their name (Venue Management) in system as certificate holder when we issue the certificate. Insurance certify cate is more like insurance proof (or medial insurance card). Certificate does not give any kind of guarantee to certificate holder (Venue Management) except insurance company will send copy of cancellation notice and policy change notice to the certificate holder

Endorsement is amendment in policy contract. Information goes to underwriter for review to make changes into exiting policy agreement. This is why it takes few weeks to receive endorsement.

There are few different endorsements. I have enclosed sample endorsement for you to see how it looks. Check your rental agreement or contact facility management and ask if they have any specific insurance requirement. I always suggest my clients to provide insurance information ONLY when it’s required and provide only information they ask for. This makes them easy to file claim directly to insurer.
