Ekal Abhiyan Trust Gets Gandhi Peace Prize For 2017
"Ekal Abhiyan Trust" has been conferred 'Mahatma Gandhi Peace' Prize for the year 2017 for their contribution in providing Education to Rural & Tribal Children in remote areas of India, and for providing Rural Empowerment and Gender-Social Equality. This prize is bestowed by the Govt of India under the Chairmanship of PM, Chief Justice, Leader of the largest opposition party and many others. The unanimous decision came on Jan 16 and it carries grant of Rs 1 Crore. This prize was instituted in 1995 on 125th birth anniversary of M. Gandhi
